Long before there was Jon Stewart, the same sort of irreverent sense of humour could be found in Tom Snyder. And since I’ve been plagued with horrible insomnia since I was a child, I often found myself watching the pictures fly through the air, as Snyder smoked and snarked and ran off the cuff late at night – what started out as a way to avoid the B-movies became an addiction in its own right.
